Functional properties from the catalog

Cellulose ethers are manufactured through chemical modification of cellulose with different additives. They are non-ionic, water soluble products. Cellulose ethers are used as functional and rheological additives and function as thickening agents, emulsifiers, protective colloids, stabilisers and for water retention. They are needed by virtually every industry served by Vink Chemicals. They are used for construction materials, paints and coatings, cosmetics, softening agents, laundry and cleaning agents, paper, textiles and foods.

Vink Chemicals offers three types of cellulose ethers under the brand name Kimicell:

  • carboxymethylcellulose (CMC)
  • hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC)
